The Sacramento River will open on the morning of July 16, 2020 and will remain open for a full extended season until December 31, 2020. At the time of this report many California salmon anglers have been catching large king salmon out of the Golden Gate Bridge. These salmon are fattening up on lots of krill that will fuel their upriver migration up the Sacramento River. Many of these large California salmon will make their journey into the Sacramento River in July, August, September and October. These salmon fishing trips are easy for all, including beginners and children.
