Sacramento River salmon season.

Dave Jacobs, a Salmon fishing guide Sacramento River, reports that the opening day on the Sacramento and Feather Rivers are just two weeks away.  The Sacramento River will open on the morning of July 16, 2020 and will remain open for a full extended season until December 31, 2020.

This season Sacramento River salmon guide Dave Jacobs will be helping clients try to fill their daily salmon quotas of two (2) king salmon per person on the Sacramento River.  The Sacramento River in Red Bluff California is where this years season will start at Sycamore Grove boat launch.  Sacramento River salmon fishing anglers will be able to start  salmon fishing 150 feet below the Sycamore boat launch just downriver of the Red Bluff Diversion Dam.

At the time of this report many California salmon anglers have been catching large king salmon out of the Golden Gate Bridge.  These salmon are fattening up on lots of krill that will fuel their upriver migration up the Sacramento River.  Many of these large California salmon will make their journey into the Sacramento River in July, August, September and October.

These salmon fishing trips are easy for all, including beginners and children.  The Sacramento River guided salmon fishing trips are a great way to get a young angler hooked early in life on one of the hardest fighting of the river fish, the king salmon. Trip sizes can range from small groups of two all the way up to a full boat of four anglers.  Groups larger than four can be accomodated with another guide boat for the day.  Everything you need to catch Sacramento River salmon is provided.  You bring a fishing liscense and lunch/drinks and your ready to go!
