There is a lot of excitement building for the 2019 Sacramento River salmon opener.  There will be many anglers out looking for the prize, a chrome bright Sacramento River king salmon.  Opening day this year will be on Tuesday July 16.  Hot spots will be in towns like Red Bluff, Los Molinos, Corning, Hamilton City, Butte City, Oroville, Ord Ferry and Colusa California.  The Sacramento River king salmon average 16 to 22 pounds with large salmon tipping the scales over 30 and 40 pounds weekly.  These early Sacramento and Feather River salmon are fresh hard fighting and make excellent table fare once filleted.  The best Sacramento River salmon Guides are now booking daily trips on both the Sacramento and Feather Rivers for both large and small groups.  Best salmon fishing is from mid July through mid October.  Anglers visiting either or will get the most up to date Sacramento River Fishing report 2019 than anywhere else as our salmon fishing guide Dave Jacobs is on the river daily with the most current salmon fishing reports.
