Jacobs reports “The salmon season is set here on the Sacramento River and will officially open on July 16, 2018.” This year the Sacramento River salmon fishing season will open 150 below the Red Bluff Diversion Dams Sycamore Grove boat launch. The second opener will include the Sacramento River from the Red Bluff Diversion Dam upriver to the Deshutes Bridge near Anderson California on August 1, 2018. This second opener on August 1st will include the upper Sacramento River in Redding California where the top producing trout fishing section will reopen from the 44 bridge in Redding upriver to Keswick Dam.
