Sacramento River salmon season update 2018.

It is now official and has been announced that there will be a full Sacramento and Feather River salmon fishing season in 2018 starting in July as reported by Sacramento River salmon fishing guide Dave Jacobs. In the Central Valley, there will be the traditional July 16th opener at Sycamore Grove in Red Bluff California downriver.  The upper river opener will open on August 1st above the Sycamore Grove boat launch in Red Bluff upriver to the Deschutes Bridge in Anderson California.  The Central Valley salmon fishing season will remain open through December 16, 2018.  The only change to this years Sacramento and Feather River salmon fishing season is that the daily bag limits and possession limits have changed for conservation reasons put in place by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife.  This year anglers will be allowed (1) one king salmon per day with a possession limit of (2) two.  Anglers can retain their (1) one salmon for the day and can have in their possession (i.e.. in your cooler at camp or on the drive home to your primary residence (2) two in possession.) Anglers need to understand the difference between daily bag limit and possession limit, two very different rules to know while salmon fishing on the Sacramento and Feather Rivers.

Sacramento River salmon fishing guide Dave Jacobs will be accepting reservations now for the best 2018 Sacramento and Feather River salmon fishing days.  There will be a variety of seats to accommodate large and small groups this year.  Dave Jacobs Professional Guide Service will provide all top quality bait and tackle along with cleaning of your daily salmon catch. Sacramento salmon guide Dave Jacobs can be reached at 1 (530)646-9110 and trips will be available seven (7) days a week starting on July 16, 2018  and will continue through December 16, 2018.
