The salmon fishing in both the Sacramento and Feather River’s have been dead slow since the official opening day of July 16th. Very few salmon have been seen in the Sacramento River below the Red Bluff Diversion Dam. The salmon fishing above the Red Bluff Diversion Dam opened today. The Feather river has been very slow for the last two weeks however, the recent river rise in the Feather River has attracted a few more salmon up towards the Outlet Hole near Oroville California. A few salmon a day are now being caught between the boat and bank fishermen at the Outlet Hole. The tremendous salmon fishing out of the Golden Gate Bridge has also continued with limit fishing for all that head out and try for kings. The red hot salmon bite in the ocean has been happening now for over three weeks. River salmon fishing could explode anyday.
