This seasons Sacramento River salmon fishing season is set to officially open on July 16th, 2017 as reported by Sacramento River salmon fishing guide Dave Jacobs.  The season will remain open for a full salmon fishing season until December 16th, 2017.  The daily limit for king salmon will be two salmon per angler per day with a four salmon per person possession limit.  The first opener will happen 150 feet below the Sycamore boat launch in Red Bluff California on July 16th.
