Sacramento River Trophy Salmon Fishing:Season Opens Soon In Red Bluff California.

Sacramento River Trophy Salmon Fishing Season 2017.

The 2017 Sacramento River trophy king salmon fishing season is just around the corner. This year the Sacramento and Feather River will officially open for king salmon fishing on July 16, 2017 and remain open until December 16, 2017.  The Sacramento River Fall run king salmon will be available to catch in mid July.  They will be available in their greatest catchable numbers by mid August.  All of September and early to mid October is peak as reported by Sacramento River salmon fishing guide Dave Jacobs.  This will be a very interesting season as 100 percent of the hatchery king salmon were trucked down and released into the salt safely two years ago.  This will be the first time in my career that I will have witnessed the results of safely trucking all 100 percent of the hatchery produced fish.  That’s approximately 12 to 14 million Sacramento River king salmon smolts safely taken down towards the ocean to grow and return to the Sacramento River as two year old adult salmon.  The ocean abundance numbers have been released this year and even with the very conservative formulas used to project those estimates, the Sacramento River had enough abundant salmon to receive a full salmon fishing season without any restrictions.  The peak fishing season is available now for you to book a Sacramento River salmon fishing boat for a small, medium or large group.  There are open seats for one, two, three or max four guests on each boat. Call guide Dave Jacobs today to reserve your spot on this years Sacramento River salmon fishing season.  Sacramento River salmon fishing guide Dave Jacobs will be available seven days a week with many boats and guides to choose from July 16, 2017 in Red Bluff California through December 16, 2017 near the Barge Hole downriver of Redding California.  This year the latest Sacramento River salmon fishing report can be found here at  Find Sacramento River salmon fishing season updates at Woodson Bridge in Corning California here as well by Sacramento River salmon fishing guide Dave Jacobs.
