Sacramento River striper fishing guides Dave Jacobs April 15, 2017 Fishing Report Sacramento River striper fishing guides. The Sacramento River striper fishing report is courtesy of Sacramento River striper fishing guides Dave Jacobs of Professional Guide Service. The spring striper fishing has continued to be very good despite the challenging water conditions. River levels and water clarity on both the Sacramento River and Feather River are now very high and muddy yet the schools of striped bass are still biting and building everyday. Some very large striped bass in the twenty to thirty pound class have been coming into the nets this week. Limit style striped bass fishing has continued this week on both rivers. The Sacramento River striper fishing season will go strong well into May with the very cold water temps this past month. More rain is expected early this week keeping flows up on both rivers through mid week. The best baits have been black plastic worms, small white swim baits, large minnows, pile worms and sardines. Sacramento River striper fishing guide Dave Jacobs is now available for fully guided fishing trips near Coulsa and Yuba City, California. Another good choice has been the Feather River in Yuba City, Ca. The fishing pressure has been heavy this week but striper fishing has been very strong with many limits of stripers coming in daily. Drifting minnows has been a very good for boat limits on the Feather River this week.
