Sacramento River salmon fishing reports.

Sacramento River salmon fishing reports courtesy of Dave Jacobs Professional Guide Service.  There has been a noticeable group of fresh, chrome bright salmon moving up the Sacramento River towards the spawning grounds.  The salmon seem to be moving through steadily this holiday weekend.  We have experienced several multiple hook up days recently and even a double hook up on king salmon in the Sacramento River today.  Hopefully this is a steady trend and the king salmon fishing continues to improve as the fall run builds.

Feather River king salmon fishing.

The king salmon fishing over on the Feather River near Oroville has been very good recently.  Guides and private anglers from both the bank and the boats are enjoying great salmon fishing with many hooking 2 to 7 king salmon a day.  The best action has been in and around the Feather River Outlet Hole. The salmon fishing on the Feather River has been by far the best salmon fishing in the Sacramento Valley.  Many fishermen have left the Sacramento River in Red Bluff and Woodson Bridge to go fish the better waters of the Feather River near the Outlet Hole.
