Sacramento and Trinity River salmon fishing.

Sacramento and Trinity River salmon fishing guides are now fishing both rivers for king salmon, trout and steelhead.  With the slower salmon fishing in late July and early August on the Sacramento River, Sacramento River salmon fishing guide Dave Jacobs took full advantage of guiding his clients into some great king salmon fishing from the drift boats.  With the clean, cold high releases on the Trinity River this Summer, salmon fishing was very good here as the flows dropped into fishable levels.  As the Trinity River dropped, nice small groups of king salmon moved up and were biting small sardine wrapped plugs daily. With many anglers fishing the Sacramento and Feather Rivers for king salmon, very few boats were seen on the Trinity River everyday.   On a average guided salmon fishing trip with Dave Jacobs on the Trinity River in late July and early August clients enjoyed 4 to 7 king salmon a day fishing both sardine wrapped lures and roe/puffball combos.  Pictured is a great example of the size and freshness of many of the king salmon hooked on the Trinity River.
