Sacramento River salmon fishing guides.

Many Sacramento River salmon fishing guides have been putting in countless hours this past week looking for king salmon all over Northern California.  The Sacramento and Feather Rivers have still been fishing very slow since the Sacramento River salmon season opener on Saturday July 16th.  There have been many stripped bass caught up and down the Sacramento River but very few king salmon hauled in this week.  The good news this past week is that many of the charters out of the Golden Gate have continued to do very well catching big beautiful king salmon that are preparing to make their upriver migration to the Fall spawning grounds of the Sacramento and Feather Rivers.  Some of the top Sacramento River salmon fishing guides like Dave Jacobs of Professional Guide Service have been catching limits of Northern California king salmon this past week back bouncing roe/puffball combos and fresh sardine wrapped plugs like the Brads KF-15 Killer fish.

Pictured is a huge tub of fresh filleted California king salmon caught with Sacramento River salmon fishing guide Dave Jacobs recently.  We put a couple of the hot plugs that the king salmon are hitting to help fill this tub with a full boat limit of fresh July king salmon.  Dave Jacobs Professional Guide Service has been out daily doing well catching fresh Northern California kings last week and this weekend.
