Sacramento River salmon fishing guides 12-6-2015.

The Sacramento River has been fishing good for new late Fall Sacramento River king salmon. There has also been some good Sacramento River steelhead and stripped bass mixed in as well. The next couple of weeks look to be setting up for some more great Sacramento River salmon fishing with the arrival of these recent rains which will attract more new salmon upriver as reported by Sacramento River salmon fishing guide Dave Jacobs. The best bets have been back bouncing/trolling large sardine wrapped plugs like the Brads KF-16 Killerfish plug. Side drifting small hand tied glo bugs in various egg spawn color combos has produced both hatchery and wild steelhead. The salmon season will remain open until December 16th but the steelhead and striper fishing will continue until river conditions blow out.

We will available for steelhead fishing trips on the North Coast rivers like the Smith and Chetco Rivers in late December, January and February. We are also offering guided sturgeon fishing trips this winter as well.
