Sacramento River trout and steelhead fishing guides.

The trout fishing in downtown Redding and Anderson has remained great for double digit hook ups for wild rainbow trout one to four pounds.  The best bet has been drifting small hand tied glo bugs in various egg spawn colors or a bright puffball/roe combo.  Drifting from a power boat or a drift boat is best for covering a lot of trout holding water.  The trout fishing is especially good near and Fall salmon spawns on the Sacramento River.  Small to medium sized steelhead are also showing from Anderson to Red Bluff.

Pictured is Brodie and his brother Jack with sacramentofishing.com guide Dave Jacobs of Professional Guide Service with a very nice wild Sacramento River rainbow trout.  Brodie hooked his trout this week near Anderson Ca. on a small puffball combo.   All trout caught were released back into the Sacramento River.
