Northern California salmon fishing guides 11-11-2015.

There are a few king salmon fishing options available now in Northern California.  The new Late Fall king salmon season is now happening with new, hard fighting kings.  Best bets are the large sardine wrapped lures like the Brads KF-16 Killerfish lures.   There are also large fresh kings in the Smith River when weather and river levels are favorable.  Currently the Smith is closed to all salmon fishing due to low flow closures at the time of this report. Pictured is a trip on the Smith River this week while it was open for a couple of days, guide Dave Jacobs (left) and Juan Nava (right) holding a double hook up of very large king salmon while out with Mike Rasmussen.  The king salmon on both the Sacramento River and Smith River are very large and new fresh king salmon will move upriver daily on the Sacramento River in November and December.
