9-11-2015 “Gone fishing” Sacramento River.

There has been literally hundreds and hundreds of clients that have spent the day fishing with us over the last 30 years here at Dave Jacobs Professional Guide Service.  Since guide Hank Mautz started Professional Guide Service in 1985, there are many of you that have been with us since the beginning.  Without you there would be no Professional Guide Service.  Now as we celebrate our 30th year taking you fishing in Northern California and Southern Oregon, I wanted to share a clients story from this week and I was honored to be a part of it.

My father died December 8, 2014. My father and I were very close and fished all the time. The last year of his life we slowed down due to his health. I bought a license the first of the year but wasn’t able to pull myself to go without him.

Chuck offered the trip on your boat. My wife and daughter told me I needed to go. I brought a small container of my Dad’s ashes, I keep in my tackle box, with me on your trip. The trip is exactly what I needed! After the day on your boat and guided trip I’m back to fishing. It was a great day of fishing and a great time to remember my Dad.
