Sacramento River striper fishing guide 3-01-2015.

The Sacramento River sturgeon and striper fishing season is beginning now with a nice mix of white sturgeon arriving to the spawning grounds above Knights Landing.  The river conditions are low and clearer now in the Colusa area of the Sacramento River  and with the sturgeon in the area, this years striper fishing season is just around the corner.  Farther downriver South, the leading edge of this years stripers are staging and getting ready for their upriver migration to spawn as reported by Sacramento River striper fishing guide Dave Jacobs.  The best sturgeon fishing happening in March and the best Sacramento River striper fishing happening in April and May.  At the time of this report, expect low river conditions to prevail with very little to no measurable rain in the forecast.  If you are interested in getting in on the great striper fishing action now, please get in touch with me and I will get you in on a very big group of stripers to catch in early March.  There are sturgeon and striper fishing trips for you to choose from now. Pictured is a limit of stripers from this weekend where the trio hooked well over 30 stripers on a recent striper fishing trip.
