Northern California fishing report 12-10-2014 Dave Jacobs December 10, 2014 Sacramento River fishing reports Northern California fishing report 12-10-2014. Last weeks rains and high creek runoff has muddied the Sacramento River making fishing very difficult. There has been no fishing opportunities due to the muddy river conditions and with the arrival of what looks to be one of the strongest storms in a decade, the Sacramento River Late Fall salmon season will close quietly on December 16th. The salmon fishing season will reopen on July 16th, 2015. We will now focus all of our fishing efforts on the following rivers and lakes in Northern California and Southern Oregon. We offer a white sturgeon fishing on the Sacramento River, steelhead fishing on the Smith, Trinity, Eel, Chetco, Umpqua, Rogue and Sacramento Rivers. We are also offering trophy guided bass fishing trips on Clear Lake this Winter and Spring.
