Sacramento River salmon fishing 9-16-2014.

The salmon fishing on the Sacramento river has been outstanding the last few days with double digit king salmon hook ups happening now.  Our team of guides hooked a combined number of king salmon today well over 20 fish.  Our top guides are landing six to eight salmon per day 16 to 22 pounds with the occasional big king over 30 pounds.  The  best techniques have been back trolling sardine wrapped lures or back bouncing roe.  The salmon season is still building and looks to be excellent well into October.  Pictured is Rick Tracy with one of his two fish limit,  a 27 pound Sacramento River king salmon.
