Sac River salmon fishing report 9-1-2014 Dave Jacobs August 31, 2014 Sacramento River fishing reports Sac River salmon fishing report 9-1-2014. The Labor Day weekend salmon fishing on the Sacramento River is going very well for us right now with many king salmon being hooked and fought the last two days. Back bouncing roe and sardine wrapped lures are working well as well as drifting roe. Best salmon fishing happening from Anderson Balls Ferry downriver through Hamilton City. There is a large group of king salmon moving up into this stretch of river late this week with great salmon fishing anticipated for this upcoming week. King salmon are averaging 16 to 24 pounds with several salmon tipping the scales at over 30 pounds as reported by Sac River salmon fishing guide Dave Jacobs. Pictured is Larry Abernathy from Valley Springs, Ca. with Mondays first salmon of the day. Very fresh king salmon are showing daily on the Sacramento River at this time.
