Sacramento River salmon fishing 8-29-2014

There has been a nice push of king salmon into the Sacramento River this week from Hamilton City through Anderson Balls Ferry, Ca.  Many salmon this week have been large in the high twenty pound class and even some low thirty pound kings mixed in as reported by Sacramento River salmon fishing guide Dave Jacobs.  Kyla Melcher of Red Bluff, Ca. holds one of the many king salmon she has hooked this week with John Pearl back bouncing roe or back trolling sardine wrapped plugs.  Salmon fishing should peak and be consistent all of September and into early October.
