Sacramento River fishing 8-16-2014

The Sacramento River fishing on 8-16-2014  has still been consistent the last couple of days with new arriving king salmon 18 to 24 pounds being caught with the occasional late salmon in the high twenties and even low thirty pound class.  Drifting or back bouncing roe has been best the last few days.  Pictured is Kelly Hicks from San Jose, Ca. with one of his limit king salmon caught today with Sacramento River salmon fishing guide Dave Jacobs.  Kelly’s 25 pound salmon picked up some cured roe above Hamilton City, Ca.  River flows have dropped to 8,100 cfs.
