Todays Sac salmon fishing report for August 6, 2104 is that more new Fall run king salmon are showing throughout the Lower Sacramento River above, and below the Red Bluff Diversion Dam.  Salmon are now being caught from popular locations like the Barge Hole, Jellys Ferry, Red Bluff, Corning and Hamilton City.  Daily catches are going up as more salmon arrive.  Sacramento River salmon fishing guide Dave Jacobs reports back bouncing roe or back bouncing sardine wrapped Brads Killerfish lures are working best for king salmon 18 to 24 pounds.  Sacramento River salmon fishing will continue to build through all of August and September.  These months are traditionally the very best time to target king salmon on Northern California’s Sacramento River.   Pictured is John Pearl with one of five king salmon hooked on Tuesday’s trip above Hamilton City.
