Sacramento River salmon fishing guide Dave Jacobs takes a quick pic before the release of this white sturgeon while out on a Sacramento River fishing trip in early April. Fishing for stripers and sturgeon has been very good in Early April as reported by Sacramento River striper fishing guide Dave Jacobs.

Our Northern California fishing trips are going well, with sturgeon, stripers, trout and shad making up the bulk of the action. With the recent rains and river rises, many fish have moved up the river during the Spring spawn. However, with very low river releases and very warm current valley temps, river temps are rising quickly and really scattering the fish. Fishing has been going strong above and below Grimes, Ca. but there may be some significant changes on the way in the very near future as reported by Sacramento River salmon fishing guide Dave Jacobs. Check in here for the most current Sacramento River fishing report for salmon, trout, shad, striper and sturgeon.
